I. Description of Datalogic-Magellan Barcode Reader

The Magellan 1100i multi-plane scanner is a highly efficient and versatile barcode reader for a wide range of applications. It uses Datalogic's latest digital imaging technology to provide intuitive and fast reading of 1D and 2D barcodes, and also supports advanced features such as image capture and EAS deactivation. With External Read Indicator (ERI) technology, the Magellan 1100i integrates with RFID and EAS systems for a "future-proof" solution.

Datalogic's Illumix™ intelligent illumination technology in the Magellan 1100i optimizes light levels to automatically capture images and read codes from mobile phones, PDAs, or computer displays. Illumix technology also has motion sensing capabilities, surpassing most other 2D scanning solutions, allowing for both sweep and presentation scanning techniques.

Datalogic's Green Spot technology collects feedback indicators to help users by projecting a green spot onto the barcode just read. The additional visual feedback makes it easy to use in retail applications and noisy environments in healthcare or libraries. The Green Spot can also be used to target a single barcode from a group of barcodes or locate a barcode within the scanning area.
