1. Compact Design, 1.5m Shock Resistance, IP52=

The Zebra DS9908 is designed with a soft, curved shape that fits comfortably in the hand, allowing users to work for many hours without fatigue. The scanner lens of the DS9808 barcode reader, inherited from the DS9900 series, also features a good, optimized width, allowing users to flexibly and easily capture images and collect barcode data quickly. At the same time, the Zebra DS9908 is shock-resistant, withstanding multiple 1.5m drops onto concrete and remaining fully functional, and meets IP52 standards to prevent moisture ingress from the operating environment.

2. 800 MHz processor, 1D, 2D barcode decoding, 305 cm/s

The Zebra DS9908 – RFID Inventory features an 800 MHz processor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor up to 1280 x 800 pixels, and Zebra's exclusive PRZM intelligent imaging technology working together to easily capture and decode poor-quality, damaged, wrinkled, faded, truncated, and low-contrast barcodes. The DS9908 barcode reader can decode standard 1D and 2D barcodes at a speed of 610cm per second at 13 mils UPC in optimized scanning distance mode.

3. Omnidirectional scanning with virtually no exceptions

Quickly and easily capture 1D and 2D barcodes, including small, high-density codes, codes printed on labels or displayed on phones, DotCode and DataMatrix codes scattered through cellophane, as well as the new invisible Digimarc codes – a great experience brought to users by the Zebra DS9908 barcode reader, and the DS9908's omnidirectional scanning range identifies barcodes when facing the lens, improving work productivity.

4. Intelligent illumination technology, EAS support

The Zebra DS9908 features intelligent adaptive illumination technology. LEDs automatically adapt to the environment, dimming when not in use and activating when a barcode is present. The LEDs are also recessed and virtually invisible, reducing eye discomfort and being user-friendly. At the same time, the DS9908 barcode scanner automatically deactivates anti-theft tags, supporting the optional Checkpoint (EAS) to eliminate a step at the POS for faster checkout when capturing barcodes and deactivating tags.
