• PicoPass is a family of dual-standard contactless memory chips, compatible with both ISO 14443B and ISO 15693
• The dual standard allows achieving higher communication speeds at proximity distance via ISO 14443B, or extending communication distance when data exchange speed is less important
• PicoPass operates with the ISO 14443B proximity protocol for high-speed communication at a distance of 10cm; applications include POS and biometric identification
• Uses the ISO 15693 vicinity protocol to operate at lower speeds over longer distances: 1.5 meters with a gate antenna configuration, 70cm with a single antenna
• Longer distances are suitable for applications such as asset tracking or hands-free access
• PicoPass 32KS contains two PicoPass 16KS chips on the same silicon chip
• The PicoPass chip can store large amounts of data such as high-quality images, fingerprints, biometric samples, signatures, and data records
